Nestled in the Ozark Mountains, Branson is a family-friendly destination that offers something for everyone. From exciting attractions to unique dining experiences, we had a blast exploring this vibrant town. Here’s a glimpse into our unforgettable adventure.

Arrival: Dallas to Branson

Our journey started with a quick and smooth flight from Dallas to Branson. The flight was just over an hour, making it the perfect distance for a quick weekend escape. Branson’s airport made it easy to get in and out. With it rarely being crowded, it truly makes for the perfect airport to fly with as a family. Within minutes of landing, we grabbed our rental car at the airport, and we were on our way to our cozy home for the weekend.

Staying at The Ozarker Lodge

We checked into The Ozarker Lodge, a charming and rustic place that felt like a cozy cabin in the woods. The lodge had a laid-back atmosphere, and the kids loved the outdoor fire pits and heated pool! Plenty of space to listen to music, explore, or make some yummy s’mores after dinner time. The rooms were comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. We felt like we were surrounded by friends and family, it really was like checking into a beautiful movie scene. However, the cherry on top was most definitely the double bunk beds! One of the few places we've stayed that offers the perfect amount of space for a larger-than-average family like ours!

Fritz’s Adventure

Our first stop was Fritz's Adventure, an indoor adventure park that had the whole family buzzing with excitement. With giant slides, underground tunnels, ropes courses, and a climbing wall, there was no shortage of action. We easily spent over four hours exploring and trying out all the cool activities. They also have the cutest cafe with a full kitchen and huge menu. When the kids started to get hungry, we were able to take a break right at the park to refuel and relax, before getting back to the fun! The best part about Fritz’s was seeing my kids have the time of their lives, while also seeing how friendly and aware the staff was. They really created an atmosphere for fun and safety, speaking right to my mama heart!

Hollywood Wax Museum/Aquarium at the Boardwalk

Next up was the Hollywood Wax Museum, where we posed for pictures with lifelike wax figures of our favorite celebrities. The kids had a blast striking silly poses with stars, and using all the interactive elements and props that they had along the way. Seeing them recognize faces that they usually only see on TV was such a treat. It was such a fun and interactive way to spend an afternoon.
A visit to the Aquarium at the Boardwalk was another highlight. The aquarium’s immersive design had us walking through tunnels surrounded by colorful fish, sharks, and stingrays. Every corner was a breathtaking experience, and so fun to experience as a family. It was very family-friendly, perfect for even the youngest, but still fun for all! The kids especially loved the jellyfish display and we all loved the touch tanks where we could interact with live sea creatures!
